No. there isn’t any storage space required; the Gas is transmitted via the Pipeline laid by MEIL.
The Pipeline up to consumer’s kitchen is laid, owned and is the responsibility of MEIL. In case of damage to the equipment installed at customer’s premises by the customer, applicable charges shall be recovered before replacement/rectification from the customer only. Underground low pressure pipes (poly ethylene) are laid till the building, and from the bottom of the building to individual residence GI pipes are used for piping.
Billing Cycle is bi-monthly.
Bills are generated on the actual usage of the gas. The meter reader (MEIL authorized agency’s person) carrying a valid ID card would come to your home once in 2 months for meter reading or The customer can submit his meter reading with photo through Megha gas app or The consumer can also call up the customer care and communicate the meter reading or In absence of the actual meter reading, average/assessed bills will be generated.
Bill Payments can be done online through Megha Gas website or by downloading Megha gas app from google play store: A drop box will be installed in the Society Premises.
Cheques can be dropped in the box for PNG bill payment. Other payment options such as cash/cheque payments at HDFC bank and Cash, Card payments are accepted at local offices.
The conventional appliance can be adapted to the PNG network by changing the “Nozzles” only. These are provided by Megha Gas at no extra cost.
In case of breakdown, the same has to be communicated to the Emergency Team who will address the issue promptly. This team is functional 24 x 7. There’s regular patrolling done to avoid any kind of accidents due to leakages.
Yes, the supply is absolutely regular. The pipeline distribution network is based on an on-line supply system that consists of safety valves and regulators that regulate the pressure.
A domestic PNG connection includes laying of pipeline network up to appliance along with necessary fittings, pressure regulator, meter and conversion of LPG appliance to PNG.
Upon the registration Megha Gas shall put its best efforts to lighten up the appliance of customer with Natural Gas within three months.
For various cities Megha gas gets the source natural gas through the main transportation pipe and receives it at city gate station and steel grid network is developed. To regularize the pressure of the gas, District Regulatory System is installed. Further a network of MDPE, is developed to reach to different societies and buildings etc. The regulator, followed by raiser with GI pipeline is installed which is connected to a meter. A copper pipe and further rubber tubing is done to get PNG reach to stoves.
The Registration can be done in three ways
1) OnlineThe prospective customer will enquire online through Megha Gas website or offline by calling customer care for new PNG connection. Megha Gas authorized agency’s person visits the house to gather required information and documents.
2) Walk Inns/ Through VisitCustomer can visit to our camps, DMA Office as well as the Site office and can get the Printed forms for applying.
3) Through Visit of DMA/Company representativeThe DMA/ company representative visits the customer house and provide them form(s). The filled forms along with the necessary documents & payment instrument(s) may be provided to that representative.

DMA is a Direct Marketing Agency appointed by MEIL for registration & allied activities of Domestic Piped Natural Gas consumers in its authorized GAs.
The domestic PNG customer needs to deposit payment of INR 5000.00 in form of Cheque/DD/PO in favor of Meil.
- An interest free refundable security of INR 4500/- per domestic connection towards the Security of equipment's and facilities defined in the PNGRB Regulations 2008.
- A non-refundable payment of INR 500/- per domestic connection towards application processing charges
It is to be emphasized that Megha Gas or any of its authorized representative never accepts any payment through cash. The customer is requested not to pay cash in any circumstances. Further the customer is to be educated to obtain the receipts and preserves the same for any payment he/she has done to Megha Gas or its authorized representative.
Identity Proof (Any one of the following: Aadhar Card/PAN Card/ Passport/Voter Id Card/ Driving License/Ration Card) and Proof of ownership of the establishment (Copy of Sale Deed Agreement/Rent Agreement/Electricity bill/BSNL Telephone bill/Society Certificate etc.)

No advance payment for consumption of gas, billing will be done once in two months based on consumption
- Flammable limit of Natural Gas (NG) is 5-15% with air whereas for LPG it is 2 to 10% with air.
- Natural Gas is lighter than air. Therefore, in case of a leak, it just rises & disperses into air given adequate ventilation.
- Auto Ignition Temperature of NG is 542˚C

PNG works on a cooking appliance just like LPG does. It is not required to change the appliance, with minor modifications LPG appliance can be easily converted to PNG.
Customer may kindly take note of the provision of The Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Regulation of Supply and Distribution) order, 2000 as amended vide notification dated December 16,2013 which has mentioned of supply of LPG under Public Distribution System (PDS) i.e. subsidized to a PNG domestic consumer as 'prohibited activity. However, with LPG control order letter dated 09th January 2014 you can retain one LPG connection and the Government oil companies shall provide the refill at the non-subsidized rate.

- Open all the doors and windows of the area.
- Immediately stop all the fire appliances.
- Do not on/off any electrical appliances.
- Cover the gas leakage point with a wet cloth.
- Do not use open flame.
- Keep away people from the leakage area.
- Do not get panic in case of emergency & stay away from the emergency area.
- Do not spread rumor in case of emergency.
- Immediately inform to MEIL regarding the emergency situation.
